I am very proud to serve as the seventeenth Principal of KLS GCC, the founding college of commerce studies. Since its establishment in 1954 as a commerce college of higher learning in North Karnataka, GCC has committed itself to challenging undergraduate students to excel intellectually and preparing them to engage in the competitive world.
The College is recognized by Rani Channamma University Belagavi, as a research centre for Ph.D. Programme in Commerce. In the academic year 2014-15 the College has been Re-accredited by NAAC with “A” Grade”.
Quality enhancement is the sole objective of our Institution. GCC focuses more on updating curriculum, improving infrastructure facilities, faculty development, students to participate in academic programmes and community orientated activities. The college has NSS, NCC and Youth Red Cross units which organize various programmes such as health and hygiene awareness, medical camp, literacy campaign, environment awareness, women and youth empowerment, blood donation, etc
